Note: This is a copy of the email sent out to the league this week.
With week 8 slowly fading into the background, it appears as though AmIGone have returned to their winning ways and remain atop the league, while the second place Thunder Bay couldn't hold out and lost to the Bostonians of Wicked Pissahs, widening the gap for first. This loss has also opened the door for the Bombers and Wicked Pissahs, who are both closing in on second place. The battle for last place was inconclusive as the first tie of the season was noted. However, the points awarded in the tie were enough for Windy City Matrix to move past a struggling Ice Kinkajous.
In an ironic twist of fate, the chiefs are, for the second week in a row, locked into a battle for last place - now against the Ice Kinkajous. Well, we all knew that Buffalo couldn't field too many winning teams and the chiefs are certainly proving that... As for this week's action, the power seems to have spread out with the leaders looking to strengthen their positions and the challengers looking for an upset. Bombers take on Nocturne's Killers as the father takes on the last (and currently the least) of the Bowman boys. How will the Bowman division look after this week? Does father really know best? AmIGone hope to avoid an embarrassment this week against the Chicago-bound Windy City Matrix - could linear algebra be their undoing? are the Matrices really Gone? Wicked Pissahs take their revitalized team against DaZ - with a three-game winning streak on the line, can the Pissahs continue to hit it out of the pahk or are they just going to piss their talent away? It's all up to their untested GM... Finally, Thunder Bay aims to prove last week was a blip and not the new course as they take on Mighty Taco. The Tacos have been rather silent lately but, as you know, with Mexican food, that silence tends to be deadly...
In other news, the fines for Mr. Carroll's remarks against the commissioner have been assessed at 3 boxes of Twinnings Infusions Tea and a face-to-face talk with the commissioner. Lawyers are finalizing the details.
This week ends the first rotation and the round-robin begins anew next week. Revenge is just around the corner... Don't forget to floss.
