Note: This is a copy of the email sent out to the league this week.
Finally, the reign of the undefeated AmIGones has ended. While they still retain top position in both the Yahoo rankings and the other rankings (AmIGone has the tie-breaker with the Bombers), their undefeated season came to a screeching halt with a 7-3 lambasting at the hands of Thunder Bay. The chiefs, while not managing to pick up a win, did eke closer to moving out of the bottom spot in the league by staying within one point of the Bombers. Elsewhere, it seems that Wicked Pissah's change of course has indeed brought it good fortune as they walked away from last week with a second resounding victory in a row and third total victory (each win has had a margin of 5 or more points). When asked for comment, Manager Carroll said of his team, "I knew I had a good core, I just needed some extra talent to put this team on the right course. Look for us to dominate in the coming weeks." This was, of course, translated from heavy and mostly unintelligible Bostonian.
This week's featured match will be the two hottest teams in the league right now - Wicked Pissahs versus Thunder Bay! Tune in this week to see whose winning streak is a fluke and who in on the path to domination... In other action, the newly defeated AmIGones face off against DaZ in a battle reminding Manager Enlow "3 times a best man never a..." AmIGone looks to rebound with a revamped line-up. The return of Ryan Miller should help his chances.
In regional action, Mighty Taco take on Nocturne's Killers to determine who can be called the "second best Bowman Boy." Both teams are coming off a win last week so look for a high-scoring, close matchup. Bombers look to take on the Ice Kinkajous in a game that can only be billed as "there." This reporter can think of no particular story behind this otherwise uninspiring matchup. Finally, the pillow-fight of the year will determine the bottom of the league as the chiefs take on the Windy City Matrix. The loser of this game will need a serious revamp of their team to stay competitive this season.
Don't forget to read the postings, update your team, and have a Happy Thanksgiving! [Insert witty sign-off here]
