Thanks right... time for week 7 our continuing coverage of the Main Event! Last week saw AmIGone continue on his winning streak by surpassing the early lead by Nocturne's Killers. Wicked Pissahs taught the Kinkajous the largest lesson of the week with a resounding 8-2-1 victory after changing the course, a message approved by the majority of American Voters. The Bombers, too, battled to a win and have taken third place in Yahoo scoring and second place in straight win-loss scoring.
This week looks to hold battles of Titanic proportions that will see the combatants rend the heavens with their victory or sink beneath the waves, split in twain. (Tonight's commentary brought to you by Dennis Leary.) That's right... #1 takes on #2 (Y rankings) as AmIGone goes for a 7th straight win by taking on Thunder Bay, who is looking for redemption after his loss last week. Will the battle live up to the hype or will the momentary loss of superstar Ryan Miller relegate AmIGone to the penalty box of history? In other match-ups, the Killers take on the Pissahs - the Killers are looking to get back to form while the Pissahs are looking for a second straight win and can already smell it (the Killers should clean up the dead carcases). Ice Kinkajous take on Mighty Taco in a battle that may well be won in the bar rather than on the ice. The Bombers could use the battle between #1 and #2 this week to move up in ranking with a win over the chiefs. Of course, the chiefs don't intend to stay in the basement forever... what would his newborn son think of him...? (It's ok... his uncle knows a thing or two about hockey...) Finally, DaZ takes on the Windy City Matrix - DaZ had a slow start but now, after moving in to fourth place, don't look like they'll slow down anytime soon. Do the Matrices have what it takes to show him up?
Stay tuned... this could get mildly interesting!
